Whether a large suitcase is right for you depends on your personal packing style and the length of your trip. Here is our recommendation:
- The all-rounder: Size L (10 to 14 days): For a classic two-week holiday, a large suitcase is the standard choice. It offers enough space for various outfits and shoes, yet remains comfortably manageable when manoeuvring through stations or airports. This size is also often the best choice for a grand world tour: with smart packing systems, you can make the most of the space, whilst the suitcase usually remains within the airlines’ standard baggage dimensions.
- The Space Miracle: Size XXL (special luggage & removals): Our largest models are true space giants. They are ideal if you need a huge amount of space or are transporting very bulky items.
Please note: As XXL suitcases exceed the airlines’ standard strap dimensions, they are treated as bulky luggage at the airport. - Alternatives for less luggage: Not every trip requires maximum capacity. If you want to remain more flexible:

What should I do if my large suitcase is damaged during transport?

- The most important check: Always inspect your large suitcase for visible damage as soon as you collect it from the baggage carousel. This is the best time to make a claim.
- If noticed at the airport: Report the damage directly to the airline’s Lost & Found desk before you leave the security area. Make sure you get a written report.
- Noticed later: If you only discover the damage once you’re home, report it online to your airline within 7 days. Have photos, your flight number and your boarding pass to hand.
- Repair service: No matter who caused the damage, at our suitcase clinic in Emmen (LU), we’ll get your trusty companion back in shape. We carry out professional and sustainable repairs.
