What items are allowed in hand luggage?
- Electronic devices: Smartphones, laptops, tablets, cameras, and power banks (only in hand luggage, usually up to 100 Wh) are permitted.
- Liquids: Maximum 100 ml per container, packed in a transparent 1-liter bag.
- Medication: Solid medication is unlimited, liquid medication over 100 ml is permitted if medically necessary.
- Baby food: Baby milk, porridge, and drinks for babies/toddlers are also permitted in quantities exceeding 100 ml.
- Not permitted: Knives, scissors with blades longer than 6 cm, tools, pepper spray, and other dangerous items.
These rules apply to security checks at most European airports.

- The dimensions include wheels, handle, and outside pockets
- A wheeled suitcase as cabin baggage should be as light as possible to save weight

How heavy can hand luggage be?
Standard weight limits by airline
- SWISS / Lufthansa: up to 8 kg
- Edelweiss: up to 8 kg
- easyJet: no fixed weight limit, must fit in the overhead compartment
- The weight of the wheeled suitcase itself is included in the total carry-on allowance
- Wheels, handles, and accessories are included in the total weight
- Lightweight materials help to stay within the limit
A lightweight suitcase with a sturdy wheel system is ideal for staying within the weight limit and traveling comfortably.

How large can a cabin bag be when traveling with easyJet?
The following regulations currently apply to cabin luggage on easyJet flights:
Small cabin bag (included as standard)
A small cabin bag should not be larger than 45 × 36 × 20 cm (including wheels and handle) and must fit under the seat in front of you.

Additional larger cabin baggage (for an extra charge or with certain fares)
A larger cabin bag may measure up to 56 × 45 × 25 cm (including wheels and handle) and is stored in the overhead compartment above the seats.
Weight
easyJet does not set a strict weight limit for cabin luggage. However, your bag must not exceed 15 kg, and you must be able to lift and store it safely in the overhead compartment without assistance.
Tip for carry-on bags with easyJet
If you intend to travel with only the free carry-on allowance, opt for a compact wheeled suitcase with maximum dimensions of 45 × 36 × 20 cm. For larger cabin-size suitcases, it’s advisable to book Priority or add an additional carry-on bag in advance to avoid extra fees at the gate.
How much liquid can I take in my hand luggage?

- Maximum 100 ml per container
- 1 liter of liquids in total
- The bag must be presented separately at the security check
